Aggressive Defense Against DWI Charges
If you have been charged with a DWI, you should know that such a charge carries serious, life-changing, legal and practical consequences. You will need a smart, aggressive, DWI Attorney to defend you.
NEIL PASK, a former Dallas County Misdemeanor Judge, Chief Felony Prosecutor at the Dallas D.A.’s office and now, a respected Criminal Defense attorney, has successfully handled hundreds of DWI cases. Having trained many prosecutors to prosecute DWI’s, Neil knows what strategies they will use to try to convict you and he can determine how to best defend you against them. Neil has an exemplary record of success in obtaining acquittals for clients charged with DWI.
HARRISON PASK, a former Assistant District Attorney and Chief Prosecutor in Collin County, has the expertise and experience to review all sides of a case and help you defend yourself against DWI charges for the best outcome possible.
If you have been arrested for DWI, you must act quickly. You only have 15 days to request a hearing on your driver’s license. Otherwise you will face a mandatory suspension of your license, creating problems for you at work and at home.
A DWI conviction will be costly. In addition to your driver’s license suspension, a conviction could cause your car insurance to rise dramatically. You will have to pay a surcharge to the Department of Public Safety that could cost you thousands of dollars. If you are convicted in Texas, the conviction will always be on your record. In the Internet age, when all your information can become available to employers and the general public, you just can’t afford that.
If you are charged with DWI contact PASK LAW immediately. Unlike many criminal defense attorneys you may find, Neil is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has been successful in defending hundreds of clients charged with DWI. Harrison is a member of both the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Collin County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
After you retain Pask Law, they will determine the best strategies to defend you and immediately begin to work with you on your case. Pask Law has been successful in gaining acquittals for many satisfied clients accused of DWI. (For a short list of their successes, see his Case Results page).
After Pask Law is hired on your case, they will gather all the evidence associated with your case. They will get all the videos made by the police and obtain all the police reports. They will personally go to the arrest location in order to develop a better understanding of what happened and to prepare for cross examination of the officer.
Under the Fourth Amendment to the United State’s Constitution, you have a right to remain free from unreasonable searches and seizures from the police. In all DWI cases the State must prove that the police had a legal reason to perform a traffic stop. If the prosecution fails to prove a legal stop, the Judge will suppress the evidence in your case and the State will be forced to dismiss your DWI case.
If you took a breath or a blood test, the prosecution must prove that the test was conducted in accordance with procedures prescribed by law, and that the instrument that was used to perform the test was working properly at the time the test was given.
